Under your Partners, press What are you trying to fix? and choose the option saying you and a partner have the wrong status. Life moves on, and your tree can too. Choose married, separated, divorced, widowed or something else, and add dates if you like. Any children stay linked to both parents, so nobody is left out. For example, you and your wife divorced in 2015: change your status to divorced and your son stays joined to both of you.

Only people with the "Add people" and "Remove" ticks, with Safe edit on.
