Yes – nobody falls off our tree for good straight away. Deleted people wait in the Drawer's "Deleted – kept safe for 60 days" folder. Find them there, press Put back, and they return with all their family links. For example, if you deleted Nan by mistake this morning, she's right there waiting. After 60 days they're gone for good, so it's worth checking soon.

Drawer (third row of the top bar, far right) → Deleted – kept safe for 60 days → Put back
Only people with the "Remove" tick.
On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
