Yes! Choose Hide tree (Show slideshow) in the View list – after a second the tree steps aside and your pictures fill the screen. Lovely on the TV when the family's round. Wiggle the mouse (or tap the screen) and the menu comes back. You can pause, skip a picture, or hide one you'd rather not see again while it plays.
Where to find it
View ▾ (second button on the top row) → Hide tree (Show slideshow), last in the list
On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
