It's where a waiting change goes if you decide not to send it. A change that's been waiting over a week stops sending by itself and asks you: Send it now, Let me look first or Let it go. Let it go – or keeping someone else's change instead of yours – puts it in your bin under "Changes you let go", on that phone only. From there, Put back waits and sends it again, and Delete for good removes it (it asks first). They clear themselves after 30 days. For example, say a date you typed for Grandad George turned out to be wrong – let it go, and it's out of the way.
Where to find it
Drawer (third row of the top bar, far right) → Deleted – kept safe for 60 days → Put back
Only people with the "Remove" tick.
On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
